Shri Suresh S. Bhandary is a well known personality in Mumbai and his native place, Mangalore. After Studying at his hometown he proceeded to Mumbai for a better future like many others. He started his career in Mumbai at Canteen and Hotels. With great efforts, hard work and sincerity Shri Suresh Bhandary started his own Hotel and succeeded in the business. However he has never forgotten his past and perhaps this has made him a successful businessman in various fields. Today Shri Suresh Bhandary is the other name for social work. He is in the field of Real Estate and Finance.
Born on 19th of January 1961 to Mr. Sanjeeva Anatha Bhandary and Mrs. Rathna Sanjeeva Bhandary in Kadandale, Mangalore, Karnataka; a young Suresh began schooling at Higher Elementary School, Bajegoli in the year 1967 and completed his college education from Government Junior College, Karkala, Mangalore in 1979.
Like many others in the year 1979-1980, for better career opportunities he came to Mumbai-The City of Dreams and Mumbai didn't disappoint him and his dreams. On coming to Mumbai, he worked at the Doctor's Mess cum Canteen at Cooper Hospital for 1 Year and later joined Hotel Anand Bhuvan in Kalbadevi, Mumbai up to the year 1983. Later he joined Golden Wheel Bar & Restaurant at Girgaum, Mumbai till the year 1985.
In the year 1986, He started his own canteen at Interstate Bus Depot, Kurla, Mumbai which was a breakthrough for his career. In 1990 an opportunity presented itself and Mr. Bhandary took up another major challenge of his career by leasing and operating the Canteen at Nair Hospital, Mumbai as a Contractor for Three Years. On 1st May 1991, he Tied the Nuptial Knot with Mrs. Shobha Suresh Bhandary D/o Mr. Vitthal Bhandary & Mrs. Narsee Vitthal Bhandary and were soon blessed with a Son, Mr. Saurabh Suresh Bhandary on 19th January 1992. In 1996, he started Diamond Queen Bar and Restaurant at Byculla, Mumbai which still runs by the same name under his ownership and management. Their bundle of joy expanded with the birth of their Daughter Miss Anagha Suresh Bhandary on 2nd June 1998. He started catering and Hospitality services under the Name Anagha Interntional in 2002. He then acquired Manifold Co-Operative Credit Society Ltd., Cuffe Parade, Mumbai in 2005 and later started its second Branch at Ghatkopar, Mumbai in 2014. He started a restaurant in Dubai in the year 2007, by the name Sip and Dine. In 2014, a Builders' firm named S. B. Realty was established by Mr. Suresh Bhandary. He has now entered into a new venture of manufacturing of Tissue Papers, Aluminium Foils and Cling Film amongst others under the Brand name Feathers Hygiene and that of cables and wires amongst others under the Name Feathers Wire Industries.
Shri Suresh S. Bhandary is the Founder and President of Shree Sainath Mitra Mandal (R) at Cuffe Parade, Mumbai, since 1989. He celebrated the Silver Jubilee function of Sai Baba Mandir in January 2014 very grandly with Rathotsav just like it's held in native place and various kinds of devotional and cultural musical programmes. Shri Suresh Bhandary is a very good Philanthropist. He has been helping generously irrespective of caste and creed. He contributes in every field like Education, Drama, Yakshagana and contributed for its betterment within his capacity. He became the founder President for 2 years of World Bhandary Maha Mandal in the year 2011 and under his leadership has created a record in the history of Bhandary Community by bringing them from Shivmogga, Theerthahalli, Chickmaglur, Udupi and Mangalore Districts under one umbrella. The function was very systematic and grandly organised by him, which has become a memorable day for people in their life. He also established Kadandale Suresh Bhandary Family Charitable Trust (R), Ghatkopar, Mumbai in the year 2015 for the upliftment of the society and helping out the needy ones socially.
